Chinese enterprises build waste-to-energy power plants to help Brazil transform waste into energy.

The city of Barueri, located about 30 kilometers from the capital of the state of São Paulo in Brazil, is a renowned commercial center. Many multinational enterprises have set up their headquarters here. The vigorous commercial development has brought economic prosperity to the city, but it has also brought increasingly severe urban waste problems. Recently, the Barueri Waste-to-Energy Power Station project, constructed by a Chinese company, is about to be completed. Once the project is completed, it will not only solve the waste disposal problem but also provide electricity for the entire city, helping the local area "transform waste into energy".

In July this year, the Baruelli Waste-to-Energy Power Station officially entered the installation and construction phase. It is expected to be put into operation in 2027. The project is designed to handle 870 tons of solid waste per day and has an installed capacity of 19.1 megawatts.
