Cuba has announced a national mourning for the 32 Cuban victims.
On the 4th, Cuban President Diaz-Canel announced that a national mourning would be held for the 32 Cuban citizens who sacrificed their lives during the US military operation against Venezuela.
Díaz-Canel stated that in the criminal attack launched by the United States against Venezuela, 32 Cuban citizens tragically lost their lives. These individuals were personnel sent to carry out tasks locally on behalf of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces Ministry and the Cuban Ministry of Internal Affairs at the request of the relevant Venezuelan institutions. They faithfully fulfilled their duties and heroically sacrificed themselves in fierce resistance. Their heroic actions demonstrated the unity spirit of the Cuban people and their stance of international solidarity.
Díaz-Canel issued a presidential decree, announcing a two-day national mourning. During the mourning period, all public buildings and military institutions across the country lowered their flags to half-mast, and all public performances and festivals were suspended.
