The United Nations is calling for a fundraising of 2.3 billion US dollars for the humanitarian plan in Ukraine in 2026.

The United Nations and its partners released the 2026 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for Ukraine on the 13th, calling for a fundraising of 2.3 billion US dollars for this plan in order to provide assistance to over 4 million people in the country.
On the same day, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Ydírek, said at a regular press conference that according to reports from the UN humanitarian agency, Ukraine is currently facing widespread power and heating disruptions during the harsh winter, exacerbating the country's predicament. The humanitarian needs in the frontline areas and northern border regions are the most urgent. In these areas, civilian infrastructure has been damaged and basic services have been continuously disrupted. It is estimated that in 2026, approximately 11 million people across Ukraine will require humanitarian assistance.
Diaryik said that according to the official reports from Ukraine, over the past day, many areas in Ukraine were subjected to attacks, resulting in civilian casualties and causing disruptions to essential services. There have been continuous power outages in many places, including some areas of the capital Kiev, where there is currently no heating available.
