"The Future Together - China-EU Youth Dialogue and Exchange Activity" was held in Brussels.
The "Co-Create Future - China-EU Youth Dialogue and Exchange Activity" was held in Brussels, Belgium on the 28th. About 60 representatives from the European Commission, the European Parliament, Chinese embassies in the EU, representatives from UNESCO, and Chinese and foreign multinational enterprises attended. The participants engaged in dialogue and exchanges on topics such as China-EU scientific and technological innovation and youth entrepreneurship.
Antonello Petralgieri, the youth organization chairperson of the European Federation of Independent Trade Unions, believes that in terms of education and training cooperation, there has been a relatively close partnership between European and Chinese universities. Every year, students from both sides conduct exchanges and study visits. Such personnel exchanges help share knowledge, skills and best practices. In the longer term, if both sides hope to jointly build important research and innovation hubs, they need to learn from each other and draw on each other's experiences in both directions.
Nicole Rita Napoli, the director of operations of the European Youth Leaders Organization, said that China and the EU have their own strengths in technological innovation and governance practices: China has made rapid progress in technology iteration and industrial application, while the EU has earlier explored regulatory frameworks in areas such as artificial intelligence and has played a leading role in driving global governance discussions. Both sides should further expand their cooperation space by leveraging their complementary strengths and learning from each other.
Liang Linlin, the director of Communication and Research of the EU-China Chamber of Commerce, said that as China continues to expand unilateral visa-free arrangements for European countries, there is a vast space for exchanges between China and Europe in the fields of young talents and emerging technologies. Both sides can promote more efficient matching of young people and innovative resources through more convenient personnel exchanges and more communication platforms. Many Chinese enterprises are also willing to cooperate with European talents and hope to enhance the awareness of the European society that "it is more convenient to conduct exchanges and cooperation in China".
Zhang Min, the overseas vice general manager of Yushu Technology Co., Ltd., stated that the European Union is an important market with "great influence and potential" for high-tech enterprises. The European society's demand for humanoid robots in applications such as manufacturing, service industries, and repetitive household labor is driving Chinese enterprises to iterate their products based on the specific usage scenarios of European users. Yushu Technology hopes to further deepen its cooperation with various sectors in Europe through closer market connections and folk exchanges.
During the free exchange session, the participating guests unanimously agreed that the rapid development of high-tech industries will drive high-end manufacturing, emerging consumption, new business models and new forms of innovation and entrepreneurship, providing a broader space for young people from China and Europe to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship. China-EU cooperation needs to work together in policy orientation, financial support, market access mechanisms and human resource exchanges, effectively connect the ecological industrial chain, base on complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results, and propose more rational, trustworthy and feasible solutions.
This event is jointly organized by the China Media International Center and the European News Television. Its aim is to provide a platform for dialogue and exchange between Chinese and European youth, promoting mutual learning, mutual respect and win-win cooperation between the two sides.
