The CEO of the World Economic Forum, Brend, announced his resignation.

The World Economic Forum released a statement on the 26th saying that Borge Braendle has decided to resign as the president and CEO of the World Economic Forum.
Brendt said in the statement that "now is the best time for the forum to remain uninterrupted and continue to carry out its important work", and expressed the hope that the forum would achieve greater success under the leadership of interim president and CEO Alois Zwinge.
The co-chairmen of the World Economic Forum's board, Andrei Hoffmann and Larry Fink, stated in another statement that they respect the decision to let Brend step down and express their gratitude for his contributions. The board will oversee the leadership transition process, including formulating a standardized procedure for selecting the formal successor.
According to Swiss media reports, the background of Brend's resignation is related to the case of the late American tycoon Jeffrey Epstein. The World Economic Forum launched an independent investigation in early February to determine the relationship between Brend and Epstein.
