An oil tanker exploded in the waters near Kuwait.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office issued a statement on the 4th saying that an oil tanker that had anchored in the waters near Kuwait exploded but no casualties occurred.
The statement said that the captain of the accident oil tanker reported that there was a "loud explosion sound" coming from the left side of the vessel, and then saw a small boat nearby move away. The statement added that fuel had leaked onto the sea surface, the hull had taken in water, no fire had occurred, and all the crew members were safe.
The relevant departments are currently conducting an investigation into this matter.
