Huajiang Canyon Bridge has been awarded the Guinness World Record title for "The Highest Bridge"

626.01 meters, the highest in the world! On April 28th, after repeated measurements and verifications, the Huajiang Canyon Bridge in Guizhou was officially recorded in the Guinness World Records as "the highest bridge". 
This bridge is located in the western mountainous area of our country and is a key project on the Lian'an Expressway within Guizhou Province. It is scheduled to open to traffic on September 28, 2025. According to experts previously, this steel truss suspension bridge has an unprecedented main bridge span and bridge height, and is hailed as "the highest in both horizontal and vertical directions in the world". "The final confirmed height of the Huajiang Canyon Bridge is 626.01 meters, exceeding the original world record of 565.4 meters. The challenge has been successfully accomplished!" said Luo Qiong, the official Guinness World Records certifier, at the on-site certification ceremony. Previously, the First Bridge of the Beipan River, located at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou, was certified by Guinness as the "world's highest bridge" in 2018, with a height of 565.4 meters. 
The reporter learned that all the height data for this certification was supported by Chinese surveying and mapping technology. The domestically produced Beidou positioning equipment used in this process had previously assisted Chinese mountaineers in reaching the summit of Mount Everest. 
A relevant official from Guizhou Transportation Investment Group, the construction party of the Bridge, stated that the Huajiang Canyon Bridge's recognition by the Guinness World Records is an international certification of its strong capabilities. It indicates to the outside world: "Chinese engineers not only can build world-renowned super projects under extremely complex geological conditions, but also can use their independently developed domestic surveying technology to accurately and authoritatively measure and define this project."
